Kevin Brown aka Dot Com from 30 Rock to Guest January 23, 2011

Scriptchat is delighted to have Kevin Brown aka Dot Com and Uptown Kevin Brown, stand-up comedian and american actor, guesting on January 23, 2011.  For screenwriters to have the perspective of an actor is priceless.

Kevin Brown aka "Dot Com," is a winner of the 15th annual "SCREEN ACTORS GUILD" award, for his portrayal of "Dot Com," in N.B.C.'s "30 ROCK ( winner of multiple "EMMY awards" and "GOLDEN GLOBES)".   Dot Com can be seen every Thursday night, starring opposite Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin and Tracy Morgan on the award winning comedy 30 Rock.  30 Rock will go into syndication on Comedy Central 2011. November 2010 NBC announced 30 Rock’s renewal for 6th season.

30 Rock is in its fifth season as is Dot Com who plays a Bodyguard/ Best Friend & right hand of the famous entourage of the eccentric Tracy Jordan portrayed by Actor/Comedian Tracy Morgan.  The series takes place behind the scenes of a fictional live sketch comedy series depicted  on NBC ; the name "30 Rock" refers to the address of the GE Building 30 Rockefeller Plaza where NBC Studios is located,
During the fourth season NBC released the webisode ”  "Livin’XL with Grizz and Dot Com"  based on demand.  The webisode serves as an opportunity to develop Dot Com’s character.   Since its release, ”Livin’XL with Grizz and Dot Com” has achieved one of the higher viewer-ships of 30 Rock’s video continuing to expand   Dot Com’s character.
 
 Over 20 years ago Dot Com and his brother Andre created and produced “The Uptown Comedy Club” tv show (on the FOX 5 network), which ran for four seasons.  Their live creation  “The Uptown Comedy Club” (located in the heart of Harlem on 125th St.), experienced National success in the 80’s and 90’s.  Dot Com aka Uptown Kevin Brown!   Dot Com managed and taught some of today’s most successful comedians i.e.  JB Smoove of “Curb Your Enthusiasm”, Flex Alexander of UPN’s One on One and Tracy Morgan of NBC's 30 Rock,  to name a few. 

Dot Com changed gears to that of a "Stand-up Comedian and American Actor".  As a Stand-up Comedian -Dot Com was featured on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien, MTV's "Human Giant, NBC’s "Last Comic Standing and BET’s Comic View"  etc.   Dot Com frequents the stage at "Ha (on Times Square),  opened for Tracy Morgan at Carolines May of 2010 and hosted the Legendary vocalist Reverend Al Green at another’s Legend’s club “ B.B. King for some soulful inspired music and showmanship to highlight a few.
Dot Com studied acting at the T. Schreiber Studio. In addition to his role on 30 Rock,  Dot Com  appeared in Sara Jessica Parker’s blockbusters  “Did you hear about the Morgans?” and Sex in the City Part 2 (SATC2), an episode of “Royal Pains” on USA,  did a scene with Leo Dicaprio in “The Departed”,” Lucky Number Slevin”, “50 Cents Get Rich Or Die Trying”, Lindsay Lohans “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen”,” Delirious” (starring Steve Buscemi).

Dot Com is a Certified BlackBelt in the martial arts, highly skilled in the Judo & Wolfox Karate disciplines. He starred the DVD for martial arts epic titled, “The Empty Hands” featuring the skills of some of the hottest practitioners and champions in the USA.
